Wow! Long time since I made a blog entry. I've been in and out of paper for awhile, mostly because of working on the road. (I know, I know ... excuses, excuses!)
So, where is the project? A big part of the problem was finding free software as good as the tools I normally use (an older copy of Macromedia Fireworks). Because I was less productive, I had less incentive to keep going. Well that and there was no response.
So nothing goes to waste, I have decided to upload a few of the additional hoplite figures - based on Patrick Crusia's original hoplites - that I developed. (Some are recent.) The main success was in developing a hoplite thrusting the spear overarm, which is what the front rank should be depicted as.

So, due to a failed software update, the site was down today for a few hours. After restoring from back-up, everything seems to be in order again. Yay!!!
Hello Everyone
I hope that this isn't too premature an announcement, but I'm fully intending to get more regular on producing models and figures starting in September.
This doesn't mean I'll be publishing anything in September, unfortunately. I'm thinking I'd like to start producing products to sell commercially. But I do intend to keep you all updated on my progress (if that isn't too far removed from the ideals of this website. I'm sure PR will tell me if I'm being naughty and hijacking PaperMiniatures.net for filthy, personal commercial gains )
I'm on holiday for two weeks starting on 18th August, and I will be taking my sketch pads, pencils and pens with me to get plenty of designing in.
Let's see what I end up with in two weeks time...
